Japanese mobile phone maker Sony Mobile has made official the Xperia T3, a new, super-slim Android-based smartphone that will land on shelves with a 5.3-inch touchscreen display.
According to Sony, the new handset will easily stand out from the crowd, courtesy of its stainless steel frame, slim body, and appealing design.
The new device will arrive on the market with a large 5.3-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) TRILUMINOS display for mobile with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, which can offer a great viewing experience from any angle.
Moreover, the phone is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, which should allow it to deliver ultra-fast performance capabilities. The CPU is complemented by 1GB of RAM.
The new Xperia T3 also sports 8GB of internal memory, as well as a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of external storage space.
On the back, the phone features an 8-megapixel camera with Sony Exmor RS for mobile image sensor, HDR (High Dynamic Range) and full HD video recording, complemented by a 1.1MP front camera for making video calls.
The handset also comes with 4G LTE connectivity inside, HSPA, Wi-Fi and WiFi Hotspot functionality, Bluetooth, GPS receiver, NFC, and DLNA certification.
Xperia T3 is powered by a 2500mAh battery that can deliver up to 12 hours and 46 minutes of talk time, or up to 688 hours of standby time.
The phone measures 150.7 x 77 x 7mm and weighs 148 grams, which makes it a light device, despite its size. Furthermore, Sony notes that the new device was crafted with high-end materials, and that its stainless steel frame ‘mirrors’ the world around users.

The combination of this beautiful technology and the premium design ensures the T3 immediately stands apart from the competition.”
The handset runs under the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and sports a series of exclusive features and capabilities coming from Sony, including access to the Sony Entertainment Network and camera functionality such as Social live, Timeshift burst, Creative effects, Portrait Retouch, and AR effect
The new Sony Xperia T3 will be released in three color versions, namely white, black and purple. The smartphone is set to become available for purchase globally starting the end of July.
