This is the portable edition of McAfee Stinger - an antivirus application that bundles several options for letting you personalize a scanning and virus removal procedure. It doesn't need too much user experience to figure out its features.

As installation is not a prerequisite, you can just extract the program files to any location on the hard disk and run the executable immediately.

It is also possible to move the Stinger to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to check any workstation for viruses and malware.

It's important to keep in mind that the Windows Registry area does not receive new entries, and leftover files are not kept on the HDD after removal.
